What is an AI interviewer for Microsoft Teams?
An AI interviewer is software that runs an interview for you. With AI Hiring it joins your Microsoft Teams meeting as a participant, speaks the questions, listens to the candidate's answers and, when the interview ends, gives your team a scored report. You schedule a normal Teams meeting with the candidate and send Aara instead of taking the first round yourself.
How it joins your Teams meeting
Paste the Teams meeting link into AI Hiring and launch, or schedule the interview in advance. Aara joins through the meeting link as a guest, so nothing is installed in your Teams organisation and no admin approval is needed. Someone in the meeting admits her from the lobby, and you can follow the live transcript from your dashboard. In the meeting she appears as "AI Hiring" in video interviews and as "Aara" in voice interviews.
What the candidate experiences
A calm, one-question-at-a-time conversation. Aara waits until the candidate has finished speaking before she moves on, and the candidate can ask her to repeat or rephrase a question, ask for a moment to think, or say they don't know. When you send the invite from AI Hiring, the email tells the candidate that the interview is run by an AI and recorded.

Who it is for

Questions
Does the candidate need to install anything?
No. The candidate joins the Teams meeting as usual; Aara joins the same meeting.
Does my Teams admin need to approve anything?
No. No app is installed and no admin approval is needed: the AI interviewer joins through the meeting link as an anonymous guest. The meeting must let anonymous users join, which is the Teams setting "Anonymous users can join a meeting". If a meeting only admits signed-in people, the interviewer can't join it.
Which languages does it interview in?
English. The questions, the voice and the live transcript are in English today.
How long is an interview?
You choose 1 to 15 questions (8 by default). Unless you turn the introduction off, the interviewer first asks three short background questions: an introduction, education and experience. There is no fixed time limit; the interviewer waits for each answer and leaves the meeting after its closing line.
Does it work with the job description?
Yes. Upload the job description with the resume and the questions focus on what the role needs. The skills the job description requires count double in the score.
