Security and data privacy
Interviews contain personal information about real candidates. This page explains, in plain words, where that data lives, who processes it and what control you have over it.
Where your data is stored
AI Hiring runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Ohio (us-east-2) region in the United States. Your account, candidates, resumes, interview transcripts and reports are stored there, in an AWS database (Amazon RDS) and AWS storage (Amazon S3 and EFS). AWS encrypts this data at rest, and every connection to AI Hiring uses HTTPS.
Who processes interview data
We use a small number of services to run interviews. Each one receives only what it needs:

We do not sell personal data, and interview content is not used for advertising.
Candidates are told an AI is interviewing them
Candidates are told that an AI is interviewing them. Interview content is shared only with the organisation that ran the interview.
A person makes the hiring decision
AI Hiring scores answers and gives a recommendation, with the candidate's own words as evidence for each mark. The recommendation supports your team; a person reviews the scores and makes the hiring decision.
Accounts and access
- Sign in with a Microsoft work account, a Google account, or email and password.
- Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, never in plain text.
- Every account sees only its own candidates, interviews and reports.
- Resetting your password signs out every other session and revokes app keys.
How long data is kept
Reports, with their transcripts and proctoring screenshots, are kept while your account is active. Deleting a report deletes its transcript and screenshots; deleting your account deletes everything it holds. Database backups hold the deleted data until they expire after 7 days, and server logs, which can contain your email address, are deleted automatically after 30 days. Your control over your data
- Delete any interview report at any time.
- Export your data from your account settings.
- Delete your account: all your candidates, interviews and reports are removed, and any Pro subscription is cancelled first.
